In the north of the Netherlands, the 32-kilometer-long Afsluitdijk is being renovated. This dike connects North Holland with Friesland and separates the IJsselmeer from the Wadden Sea. This makes it literally the longest C-SITE project. The work on the Afsluitdijk is being carried out by Levvel on behalf of Rijkswaterstaat. Levvel is a consortium consisting of Bam Infra, Rijkswaterstaat, and Rebel.
At C-SITE, we’ve been documenting the renovation of the Afsluitdijk since 2019 using as many as 23 different camera angles! And not all of them were on the ground: some cameras were installed by our experienced technicians on pontoons, on cranes, and even on a moving boat.

To keep interested parties informed, the work could be followed in real time via our livestream feature on the Aflsuitdijk website.
Another project you can watch via livestream thanks to C-SITE is the renewal of the Royers Lock in Antwerp.
