For leading investment company Baltisse, we were allowed to visualize the Pelican project. Pelican is the first phase of a large contiguous office and retail development of 32.000m2. In addition to Pelican, three other office projects are being developed or renovated in this dynamic neighborhood. The overall project has three functions: a wide range of office options, modern retail offerings on the lower floors and ample parking. The retail area will be designed into attractive spaces of various sizes. Both small local business initiatives and large international players will find a home here.
From January 2021 to the end of 2023, the transformation was underway. This historic complex, formerly a hotel, cinema and shopping arcade will get a new life as a modern and vibrant place where it is pleasant to work and store.
This project in the heart of Antwerp involved many stakeholders: client Baltisse, the project managers, the architects, various contractors, study firms, future tenants, etc. All parties had an interest in monitoring the work and could view the live images on the C-Site platform.
The location of the Pelican project not only provides feathery images against the backdrop of Antwerp's Central Station. It was also a challenge to provide a camera angle that clearly portrayed the works. A high position on a nearby building was chosen. This allowed the demolition of the obsolete building and the reconstruction of the new project to be portrayed perfectly. You can see the floors growing towards you, as it were.
